Everything you need to go from your GitHub repositories to a CV you can send, and how each part works.

Getting started

  1. Sign in with GitHub. Repofolio accounts are GitHub accounts; there is no password to remember.
  2. Scan your repositories on Skills & repositories. Pick the ones that show your best work (5–10 is a good start); forks and tutorial copies add little.
  3. Build your CV in the CV builder: import your LinkedIn profile PDF or start from scratch. Your 3 most relevant GitHub projects are added for you.
  4. Tailor it to a job. Paste the job ad under “Tailor to a job”, review every suggested change, and apply the ones you want.
  5. Apply and practise. Find matching jobs, track applications, and run a mock interview for the job you are applying to.

GitHub access

  • Sign-in asks GitHub for your profile only (read:user): name, username, avatar and email. It has no repository scope and cannot change anything on GitHub.
  • Public repositories are read through GitHub's public API. You choose which ones to scan; nothing is scanned until you do.
  • A scan reads file names, up to four dependency files (such as package.json, requirements.txt, go.mod), GitHub's language statistics and the README. It does not read your source code line by line.
  • Private repositories are optional: install the Repofolio GitHub App from Settings → GitHub and choose the repositories it may read. It has read-only permissions (repository contents and metadata) on those repositories only.
  • Clear any scan on Skills & repositories, disconnect GitHub in Settings, or remove the app on GitHub at any time. Repofolio never modifies, commits or pushes code.

Your CV

  • 10 templates; single-column ones are marked ATS-safe. Fonts, margins, section order and names can all be changed.
  • Download as PDF or Word (.docx), or share a link such as /cv/your-name that always shows your latest version.
  • Every AI sentence is checked against your CV: invented numbers, technologies or results are rejected and your own line is kept.
  • Skills proven by your scanned code are counted in the “verified from GitHub” badge and listed with their evidence on your share link; the CV itself stays plain.
  • Each tailored version, and your CV just before you apply one, is kept under Versions.

Jobs and applications

Jobs are collected every day from company career pages and job boards. Each one shows an estimated compatibility score from your verified skills, your CV's experience and level, certifications and projects, with what raises or lowers it. It is an estimate, not an employer's screening result. Save jobs to the application tracker and move them from Saved to Offer.

Interview practice

Choose a role, difficulty and round (HR, technical, coding, system design or mixed). Answer by voice, with the microphone only or with the camera for body-language feedback that is analysed on your device, or type your answers. Coding rounds use a code editor. Starting from a CV you tailored to a job makes the questions about that job and that CV's projects.

Career coach and roadmaps

The career coach scores your readiness for the role you choose (any of the roles in its 8 career areas) from the skills your code proves (foundations 50%, day-to-day tools 35%, advanced tools 15%), and suggests a hands-on project for your biggest gaps. Roadmaps plan the weeks to a role; you can tick off tasks and your progress is saved.

How AI uses are counted

On the Free plan each AI feature has its own 3 uses; using one feature never uses up another. A use is counted only when a new AI result is made: failed or cancelled requests and results you have already generated are free. Every plan, including Pro, has a fair-use limit of 80 AI requests a day.
